2010 GUKPT Schedule

2009 gukpt

The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) will be returning in 2010 for a fourth year. 2010 will see new events and new venues added to the schedule of the UK’s biggest poker tour. Once again Grosvenor/G Casinos and their online partner gcasino.com are adding significant prize money to the tour. The added prize money in 2010 will be at least £200,000!

The 2010 schedule includes:

The Main Tour - 8 legs, a grand final and the Champion of Champion's festival.

The Summer Series - launched in 2009, it has now been extended to include ten mini-festivals, taking place from May – August.

The Club Championships - New for 2010, the GUKPT Club Championships is a series of one-day £200 tournaments, taking place in all 23 Grosvenor and G Casinos with a poker room.

The 10% Online Series – New for 2010, a series of one off events taking place the day after each festival on the Main Tour and the Summer Series concludes. The buy in will be 10% of the cost of the main event at the festival that has just concluded. These tournaments will be available on Blue Square Poker, Grosvenor Poker and the poker room of gcasino.com.

10-Seat-Guaranteed Super Satellites - New for 2010, every host venue on the Main Tour and the Summer Series will stage a 10-seat guaranteed super satellite, which will take place the week before their festival starts.

Live Streaming - Live streaming of main events on the Main Tour will continue in 2010 with Phil 'the Tower' Heald hosting the show on www.thenutz.tv.

Increased Starting Stacks - Starting stacks in the main events this year will be increased to 15,000. Side events will also have bigger starting stacks with £100-£200 events now awarding 7,500 chips while £250 - £500 events kick off with 10,000 chips per player. The Grand Final will have a 25,000 starting stack.

300,000 Pound Added Prize Money

This year Grosvenor/G Casinos and their online partner gcasino.com are adding £300,000 to the GUKPT. £150,000 of this will form the prize pool for the end-of-year Champion of Champions tournament, which will be taking place at the G Casino, Coventry. The only way to get an invite into this exclusive tournament is to win a GUKPT tournament or associated event. The GUKPT rankings will once again have £50,000 in prizes up for grabs, with £20,000 awarded to the overall winner and a further £30,000 distributed to the top 20 players on the leader board. The GUKPT National Leagues will also be returning with a total of £100,000 in prizes, including seats into the Grand Final and Champion of Champions Tournament.

Live super satellites take place throughout the festival week in each host venue. They are preceded by a 10-seat-guaranteed tournament the day before each festival begins. There are also four online super satellites each week on Blue Square Poker and these will also be available in the poker room of gcasino.com, which will be launched in early 2010.
