Welcome To The UKSPC 2017 – 19/04/2017 – 14:10

Good afternoon and welcome to the Ricoh Arena. Home of the Wasps & Coventry City.

We are here for the UK Student Poker Championship which grows year on year. Last year a massive 965 entries in total paid the £30 entry fee. Joseph Kwok ended last year with all the chips, taking home the title, trophy and £5,000!

Will this tournament be able to break the 1000 mark for the first ever time? We will have to wait and see as we play three day ones over the next three days.

Players are allowed one entry and two re-entries per day with late registration open till 5:30pm each day.

Day 1a of the UKSPC Main Event began today at 12:30, but we aren’t going to concentrate on that. The decision has been made to instead concentrate on Day 2 of the £150 High Roller, where we have 26 players remaining.

The GUKPT live stream will run along side a mini blog until will get down to the final table. Once we have our final 9 we will then run a fully action tracked live stream until we have a winner who will take home just short of £6,000.

We’re looking forward to what should be a fabulous week of poker.
