Back to (poker) school as the GUKPT lands in Leeds!
Grosvenor Casino Westgate Leeds warmly welcomes back the GUKPT after an unfortunate years break. Grosvenor Casinos’ GUKPT will be touching down in the lively city of Leeds this Sunday bringing with it a week of fun action packed poker, including the much anticipated £100,000 Guaranteed Main Event.
Last year the country witnessed devastating flooding to Leeds and the surrounding areas which sadly meant the 2016 GUKPT had to make a slight detour enabling Grosvenor Casino Westgate to carry out a major refurbishment. Grosvenor Casinos is delighted to confirm Grosvenor Casino Westgate is now more than ready for what is predicted to be one of the biggest fields we’ve seen to a £100,000 GUKPT Main Event.
The last time the GUKPT was in Leeds it was Stephen Foster who beat a star-studded field of 249 to take home the nearly £25,000 first prize. It was no easy feat for the retired Executive as he was up against names such as Luke Fields, Paul Foltyn and EPT winner Tom Middleton. You can read all about how the action unfolded here.
As ever the GUKPT Schedule includes something for everyone, with action kicking off with the 10 Seat Super Satellite and the £10,000 GUKPT Mini Main this coming Sunday. Both events are predicted to see huge fields which will be sure to get the festival vibe started in suitable fashion.
The £100,000 Guaranteed Main Event costs £500+50 to enter and will run from Thursday to Sunday next week. There are plenty of opportunities to win your seat for far less either at Grosvenor Casino Westgate via one of the many live satellites or online on Grosvenor Poker via their direct satellites every Tuesday and Sunday. Both direct satellite guarantee 5 x £550 seats.
Naturally the live media team will be in attendance, streaming day 2 and the final on Sunday in Full HD alongside the commentary of our very own, Phil “Tower” Heald, who will be regularly joined by some of Grosvenor Casinos’ Pros; Jeff Kimber, Joe Beevers and Katie Swift.
