WOW! Well what a days poker. The poker community has come out in force to support the UKs longest running tour. A massive 220 entries today gives us 314 in total for GUKPT Blackpool 2017, the biggest turnout since Brian Clarke won the event way back in 2008.

The cash games and side event have also been running all day and at the moment there’s 6 cash tables open.

Back to the main event though, which has just finished. 80 players have made it through the day they will all be back tomorrow to join the other 37 players who made it through Day 1a.

The chip lead has changed hands numerous times today and it ends with Andrew Hulme on top, Stato finishes the day with 125,000. Full chip counts of the Day 1b players are:

Good afternoon and welcome to Day 1b of GUKPT Blackpool.

There were 94 entries yesterday for the first day ones play with 37 players making it through to tomorrows Day 2.

The tournament is a £1000 buy in with a £200k GTD, which should get smashed here on Day 1b.

For their buy in the players will receive 20,000 chips on a 60 minute clock, with players also allowed two re-entries per day. Late registration is open for the first 6 levels of play today and nine levels will be played.

We will be here today for the whole days play, bringing you blog updates, pictures, chip counts and the live stream that runs on a thirty minute delay with all hole cards shown.
