Mitch Johnson Leads Final 25 – 11/11/2017 – 00:12

Another amazing day here at GUKPT Blackpool. The day started with 117 entries and we are now down to just 25. It’s been fast and furious all day players busting thick and fast and jumping in the seven cash games that have been since midday.

Mitch Johnson has finished on top of the 25 players who have made Day 3. They are guaranteed £2,200 but will all have their eyes on the first place prize of £87,280.

Amazingly, we still have Tom Middleton, Richard Kellett, Tom Hall and Jeff Kimber still in the field, who finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th last year. Full chip counts of the 25 remaining players are:

Double Bust Out – 11/11/2017 – 23:50

One of the last hands before the bags come out… A three way all in!! Both Chris Johnson & Masud Prodhan playing around 150,000.

Chris Johnson –

Masud –

Arran Fletcher is the player to call them and has found the ACES!!

The board runs out

No sweats for Arran as he takes the pot and now has around 500k.

We lose Masud and Chris from the field,, both players min cash for £2,200.

Last Five Hands – 11/11/2017 – 23:25

The clock has been paused with 10 minutes remaining.

The players will now play five more hands before bagging up for the night.

Dre Bubbles – 11/11/2017 – 23:05

Mitch Johnson opens, Andreas Olympios three bet shoves for his 100k stack. Mitch calls and the cards go on their backs…

Mitch –
Dre –

The flop comes as Dre picks up straight and flush draws.

The turn card comes

The river card

Brick brick for Andreas Olympios as he heads out of the tournament.

He is the bubble boy!!

Sick One For Clossick – 11/11/2017 – 22:55

Jamie Clossick limps from the small blind, Daniel Corbett moves all in from the big blind.

Jamie is playing around 140,000 and goes into the tank until the clock is called, eventually he makes the call.

Jamie has the best hand, tabling against the of Danny.

The flop comes   as Jamie flops top pair.

He asks the dealer for nothing dirty, unfortunately for him the turn is dirtiest card in the deck as it comes !! Which gives Danny a straight.

The river card comes Danny improves to a flush to take the pot.

Very unlucky for Jamie as he heads out of the tournament.

With his exit we are now on the money bubble!

Welcome To Day 2 – 11/11/2017 – 12:30

Good afternoon and welcome back to Blackpool for Day 2 of the GUKPT Blackpool Main Event.

There were a massive 314 entries this week for the £1k buy in tournament, but we are now down to 117 who will all be back today to play another nine levels of play.

We’re looking forward to another great days play with a great mix of local qualifiers and GUKPT regulars still in the mix.

We’ll be here with you for the duration of play, bringing you live blog updates, pictures, chip counts and exits from the tables. The live stream will also be running on a 30 minute delay with all hole cards shown.

Play begins at 1pm today.
