After nine levels of play Day 1a of the 2017 Grand Final is now in the history books.

It’s been another fantastic day. The 98 entries today was up on the 86 players that turned out for Day 1a last year.

46 players have made it through the day, bagging up and will be back with us on Saturday, they are led by Alex Zervos who has finished second in this very event two years ago.

At the moment there are 95 players entered which is 9 up on the 86 that turned out last year.

Tomorrow is going to be a huge day, last year there was a massive 190 entries for Day 1b and hopefully we will see the same tomorrow!

Welcome To The Grand Final – 23/11/2017 – 12:45

Good afternoon and welcome to the 2017 Grand Final! The last event of the 2017 GUKPT Tour.

The tournament is a £2000+£125 buy in with a £400,000 GTD! Last year there were 276 entries in total, creating a £552,000 prizepool. Marc Wright took the lions share of the prizepool cashing for £132,280 after doing a deal with Will Davies heads up.

Today is Day 1a, where players will receive 25,000 for their buy in on a 60 minute clock. We will be playing nine levels of play today, with late reg open for the first 6 levels. We’ll be here bringing you live blog updates, pictures, chip counts & of course our live stream on a 30 minute delay with all hole cards shown.

Play begins at 1pm today.
