King Leung Champion in Leeds – 18/09/2017 – 00:15

Well what an event we have just witnessed. Leg 7 in Leeds is the biggest £500 GUKPT event outside of London, with a massive 308 entries!!

22 players made their way back today to battle it out for the first place prize of £42,000 and after 12 hours of play we have a champion in local player Leung Cheung. He has made two side event finals this week, finishing 3rd and 2nd, but he now has a trophy! The biggest one of the week with the biggest pay day. Leung takes home £37,900 for his win, with the title and the trophy! Renee Xie finishes just one spot short of being the first female winner of a GUKPT as she cashes for £33,000.

Another very successful event on the UKs premier tour, in this beautiful Leeds casino that is different to all the others. It has its own personalty which makes for a great atmosphere in the poker room.

It’s now just under a months time till the 8th leg of the tour in Luton. It’s a big one, a £1000 £200k Main Event. Thank you to everyone who interacted with us, watched the stream and played in Leeds. It’s been Super!!

See you next time.
