After ten levels of play Day 1a of GUKPT Edinburgh is now in the history books.

It’s been a great day played with smiles on faces as is the norm in this cardroom.

In total there have been 90 entries today, which is up 20 on the Day 1a of last year, which is a great start.

Good afternoon and welcome to Edinburgh for the GUKPT Main Event.

The tournament is a £500+£60 buy in with a guarantee of £100,000! For their buy in the players will receive 20,000 chips on a 60 minute clock.

Today is Day 1a where ten levels will be played before players bag their chips up for Day 2 which will take place on Saturday.

Last year there was 227 entries in total over the two days of buy ins, with Paul Green taking home the trophy after a four way deal. Paul is already in the building ready to defend his title.

 

We begin todays play at 1pm and we will be with you providing a live stream, pictures, exits and chip counts from the tournament.
