Day Three Is In The Books – 15:54

After just three hours of play we have lost 18 players!! It has been a manic, but short day here at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
The 27 players who came back today were all guaranteed £700 and within half an hour we had lost a third of them as we were down to 2 tables.

They fell in this order

19th – £700 – Rhys Ellis
20th – £700 – Donovan Burton
21st – £700 – Marc Brazier
22nd – £700 – William Greenwood
23rd – £700 – Jonathan Cosgrove
24th – £700 – Paul Kelly
25th – £700 – Paul McCardle
26th – £700 – Lee Taylor
27th – £700 – Nigel Bull

We would then redraw for seats as Dan Cullen still held the chip lead, with 11.5million.

It wouldn’t take long before the players started to bust out again! Then within another few levels we were done!! There wasn’t even a final table bubble because Stephen Young & Ernesto Aguilar busted at exactly the same in 11th & 10th.

The final table will be started at 1pm tomorrow with Jiri Sladkovsky leading the way with his huge 18million stack.

Final Table
Seat One – Nishid Pnadipleuman – 5,125,000
Seat Two – Steven Winstanley – 4,350,000

Quick Succession – 15:01

Our final table is set folks in very quick succession we lost Stephen Young in 11th for £1,330 when down to just over two bigs he shoved from the HJ with and the BB making the call with flopping a pair and a flush draw on it was and up & down straight draw but a turn and we were just one away from the feature table.

When we get to 10 players it was suppose to play hand for hand but there was a hand in progress on the other table, board reading hearing all in and call from the TD we rush over to see Ernesto Aguilar is at risk holding A8 vs Jiri Sladkovsky flopped straight :10d the latter had checked the turn with the former moving all in and snapped it Aguilar was drawing dead, river and we would have our final table of 9 set. – DM

Daniel “Harry Styles” Cullen is taking apart the field right now, and has just eliminated Peter Rhodes when his held up against Rhodes’ .

Just Missed Money Jump – 14:16

William McMurray was down to under 1 big blind after putting his SB into the pot, action folded around to Jiri Sladkovsky on the button opening to 370,000 McMurray having to call all in from the SB turned over but was absolutely dominated by

Trueman up to 3 Million, but Chops Big Pot

Robert Trueman just got unlucky to chop with Stephen Young, but his stack is still up to up to just over 3 million. Trueman’s split the pot with the held by Young as the board ran out . – RK

.

.

Win One Lose One – 13:54

Luke Vinnicombe 3bet to 1,000,000 straight from the button after an UTG 360,000 open BB really tanked and looked like he was making a reluctant fold, action back to the original raiser who mucked his hand, was shown and the BB was quite happy with his fold then holding pocket 9’s.

Next hand action is folded around to Vinnicombe in the CO 400,000 was the bet with only one caller from the BB, BB check called a 500,000 bet turn slowed the action by going check/check river all in for around 2,000,000 from the BB sent Vinnicombe up of his chair looking at the board but can’t make the call and mucked his hand.

So all the chips he won in the hand previous he lost them and more on this one. – DM

Mohangee Hits the Rail – 13:47

Khalick Mohangee pushed his last 1.8 million into the middle from the button, and after a count, Daniel “Harry Styles” Cullen made the call from the big blind. Mohangee turned over and was dominating Cullen’s . The flop was dealt out and left staring up from the felt. Will McMurray moves his short stack all in again this time 275,000 and is called by Khalick Mohangee in the small blind.

Phillip Bain Has Gone – 13:37

Bain opened the pot with a 320k bet from under the gun +1, and got a single call from Jiri Sladkovsky on the button. The flop fell and Bain fired out a continuation bet of 425k, which Sladkovsky flat called in position, The turn hit the felt, and Bain fired again, this time for 570k, but Sladkovsky fired a salvo back, raising to 1.2m. After some consideration, Bain announced he was all in, and Sladkovsky snap called, tabling for the flopped set. Bain turned over the to be drawing dead. The river fell , and Phillip Bain hit the rail. – RK

.

.

Huge Pot – 13:32

We’ve just had the biggest pot of the tournament close to 8,000,000 chips Peter Rhodes held vs Jiri Sladkovsky held with all the chips going in pre flop.

All hear flop brought muttered “ooohhs” from the table as Rhodes held the only heart and had the player out chipped, turn and the board ran out a harmless and Sladkovsky now becomes out tournament chipleader, while Rhodes is left with around 1,600,000 – DM

.

.

Ciprain Berdan has just busted out of the Goliath. The hand before, he had called Daniel Arbon’s shove. Berdan had and 207 showed the . The pot was chopped.

William McMurray just got his short stack into the middle and found himself against on a flop of while he was holding . The turn of the didn’t help matters, and just left McMurray looking for Barry Greenstein’s card. Reluctant Pro

Marc Brazier is an accountant by trade, but in these tough times, he’s had a hard time finding enough work in his chosen field to pay the bills. To make ends meet, he’s been playing poker, and from our conversation, making a more than decent hash of it. He’s mainly a cash player, but he’s also taken down the Bigger 22 online, and between his online poker winnings and the odd bit of freelance work, he’s living a comfortable life. This is his second live cash of note, after coming 99th in a WPT Event in 2005. – RK

.

.

“Thought he had AK” – 12:54

Action on table 2 from Marc Brazier opens 250,000 pre flop, folded to Daniel Arbon the SB 3betting it up to 495,000 BB dwells hard before mucking his hand, call.

was spread Arbon keeping up with the betting lead cut out a smaller bet than his pre flop raise, 365,000 it was Brazier playing circa 1,800,000 moved all in but bad news as he was snapped off, vs not drawing dead as he had a gutterball, turn paired the board & river.

Maybe the smaller bet on the flop than the pre flop raise brought him to the conclusion “I thought he had AK” Marc Brazier finished in 20th for £700 – DM

.

.

Quiet 10 minutes – 12:44

Well we have had a quiet 10 minutes after the manic first half an hour of the day.

21 players remaining in the biggest european field ever!!

The next player out will also receive £700.

.

.

William Greenwood just pushed his remaining 1,010,000 over the line, announcing “All in” and after some significant deliberation, Peter Rhodes made the call, turning over . Greenwood  turned over his to start the coin flip.

The flop came putting Greenwood in a lot of trouble. The turn sealed his fate, and the river was irrelevant. Greenwood leaves in 22nd place for £700. – RK

.

.

Jonathan Cosgrove – 23rd

Jiri Sladkovsky limps from under the gun, the action comes round to Jonathan Cosgrove in the small blind who moves all in for his last 550,000. The big blind gets out of the way and Jiri quickly calls.

Jonathan will need massive amounts of help as he shows
Jiri proudly tables

The turn card comes

The river card the .

Jonathan finishes in 23rd for £700.

Jiri is now up to 4.5million.

.

.

Double up Again – 12:30

.

.

Wong Doubles Again 12:23

Wong just doubled through Jonathan Cosgrove when his started out ahead against Cosgrove’s , and only got better as the board was dealt to show . Cosgrove has been left very very short. – RK

.

.

Feature Table No More – 12:19

Hearing TD Nick O’Hara calling out all in & call on the feature table Paul McCardle held but was dominated by

Flop with both players holding each others straight card it went to rooting for the other but as the turn paired it was now back to rooting for your own card, river ran out and we lost another player.

Paul McCardle will walk away with £700 – DM

.

.

Taylor – 26th

Lee Taylor all in for his tournament life up against Phil Bain.

It’s a classic coin flip as Lee tables vs the of Phil.

The flop comes , a decent flop for the A-K considering he hasn’t connected with the board yet.

The turn comes another over card to the pocket fours meaning three more outs for Phil.

The river is !!! Sick for Lee as he gets counterfeited. He leaves us in 25th place for £700.
