GukPT Brighton – 28/07/2013 – 22:25

Well after four days of play we finally have another GukPT champion in David Lloyd. It has been a fantastic tournament and the winner is thoroughly deserved.

We had 198 entries for this tournament which was massive and a 26 player increase on the last leg that was in Walsall. Not many people were expecting this kind of turnout but it was great to see.

We didn’t have a bubble as such yesterday as Marcin Milde were both eliminated at the same time on different tables. Six players then took home a min cash of £990, they were Jenyue Chiang, Regis Burlot, Jason Glenister, Mark Ciuraj, Richard Dawson & Katja Svendsen.

For the first time this year we came back to the final day with 14 players. We then lost Ross Patman, Rajinder Kumar & John Allison all cashing for £1,240.

Amin Mousavin narrowly missed out on the final table finishing in 11th place for £1,480.

Dinarte Desousa was the unlucky final table bubble boy running his pocket tens into the queens of Nik Stylianou. Dinarte cashed for £1,730 while Nik went into the final table as huge chip leader!!

The final table started off really slow, like the tournament as a whole to be honest.

Gary Sandford was the first player to be eliminated from the final table. He was short stacked for most of the day. Eventually moving all in with A-J and running into the pocket Kings of  Dan Bushell. He took home £1,980.

DSC_3669

Perri Fox who was also short stacked for all of the final table got it in three ways with A-6 vs Aces and Queens!! Perri finished in 8th place for  £2,720.

DSC_3665

Nik Stylianou was the man with the Queens and he was crippled to two bigs and eliminated the very next hand in 7th place for £3,720. He was really and lost a huge pot before that with Aces vs the Kings of Piers Whyman.

DSC_3657

Graham Farbrace was the unlucky chap to leave us in 6th place, but I’m sure he was pleased with the result after being down to just 3 big blinds with 12 left. He took home £4,700 for his efforts.

DSC_3807

The brothers were still in force with 5 left. But they fell one after the other as Matt Bushell ran his A-K into the Aces of Danny Tran. Matt cashed out for £5,690. Dan then fell from the final in fourth place. His land hand he was all in with K-10 vs the A-6 of David and couldn’t get there. He took home £10,000 after a deal had been done between the final four.

DSC_3836

After holding the chip lead for most of the final table Danny Tran would be the man to leave in 3rd place. Each player locked themselves up £18,500 which he took home after a losing a few pots he got it in with 7-6 and ran into the A-9 of David which held.

DSC_3838

The players were then heads up for about an hour before David got it in with A-8 vs the pocket Kings of Piers and managed to hit runner runner to take a huge pot and the chip lead!!

Piers then got his last 500,000 in the  middle with K-5 vs the A-10 of David.

David flopped an Ace and that was that.

Piers Whyman took home £18,500 for finishing in second.

David took home the trophy, the grand final seat and £20,320 for the win.

Brothers On The Final – 28/07/2013 – 15:40

IMG_7206

This is the first time we have ever had two brothers on the main event of a GukPT Final table. Which is a fantastic achievment by the Bushell brothers who are now sat next to each other on the final. The last brothers I can think of making the final was the Chattha brothers when they made the final table of the northen lights festival in Blackpool.

The Chattha brothers finished 1st and 2nd, could the Bushell brothers do the same…

The Final Day 28/07/2013 – 12:40

Welcome to the final day of the GukPT Main Event here in Brighton. For the first time this year we are coming back with more players than the scheduled 9 we usually have back on the Sunday. As we have 14 players coming back. Nik Stylianou leads the way with a massive stack of 836,000. Compared to Ross Patman who sits in 14th place with 88,000.

IMG_7187

The players are all guaranteed £1,240, but they are all chasing the £28,210 that is up top.

It should be a great days poker kicking off at 1pm.

Day 2 In The Books – 27/07/2013 – 23:10

Well another day 2 has finished with a bang with the biggest pot of the tournament coming in the last few hands.

81 players made it back for Day 2 here at the G Casino in Brighton, led by Babis Lappas, who had a huge stack of 150,000. It wasn’t like any normal day 2. In fact it was rather slow to begin with. Players steadily starting to bust out instead of the usual bang we have at the start of the day.

We wouldn’t reach the bubble till the back end of the day. Then in two hands we lost Marcin Milde & Chris Cooper, so there was no sweat for the players as we didn’t even need to play hand for hand.

Well done to Jenyue Chiang, Regis Burlot, Jason Glenister, Mark Ciuraj, Richard Dawson and the final lady left in the tournament Katja Svendsen who all min cashed.

The players that are now left are guaranteed £1,240, but could leave tomorrow with the £28,210 first place prize.

The chip counts going into tomorrow look like this…

Nicholas Stylianou 836000
Danny Tran 410000
Piers Whyman 339500
Rajinder Kumar 299000
John Allison 288500
Daniel Bushell 266500
Perri Fox 245500
Graham Fabrace 234000
Dinarte Desousa 230000
Matthew Bushell 211000
Amin Mousavin 204000
Gary Sandford 200500
David Lloyd 106000
Ross Patman 88500

We will be back tomorrow for a 1pm start and will hopefully make the final by 2pm as is scheduled. I hope you join us then.

Play has now finishes for the day. Players are just bagging and tagging. Full chip counts to follow.

.

HUGE Pot!! – 27/07/2013 – 22:40

I get to the table half way through the hand as the board reads As–Jd–6d–9s. There is around 100,000 in the middle and Rajinder Kumar has bet 100,000! Nicholas Stylianou is the other player in the pot and in the tank, he eventually makes the call to create a huge pot as they go to the river.

Before the river card is dealt Rajinder announces all in!! The river card comes the three of spades, Nicholas SNAP calls and tables Ks–Js for the nut flush!!

Rajinder tables A-K for top pair but it’s no good.

Nich0las takes that huge pot and the chip lead! He now has close to 900,000 while Rajinder is left with around 300,000.

.

.

Final Four Hands – 27/07/2013 – 22:30

The clock has been paused and Danny Tran has drawn a four.

Four more hands and we will be done for the night!!

Katja Svendsen – 15th – 27/07/2013 – 22:25

Katja Svendsen the last woman remaining in the event goes all in for her last 130,000 and is called by Perri Fox.

It’s a classic flip as Katja tables 10-10 vs the A-K of Perri.

The flop comes 7–4–3.

The turn card is an ACE! That puts Perri in front, but it gives Katja a heart flush draw.

She misses on the river as it comes a black 9.

Katja Svendsen finishes in 15th for £990.

 Biggest Pot So far – 27/07/2013 – 18:18

Rajinder Kumar limps in first position, Harry Lodge makes it 11,000 to play. The action comes all the way back round to Rajinder who makes it 41,000 to play…

Harry then announces all in for 160,000 and Rajinder snap calls to create the biggest pot of the tournament so far!!!
Rajinders…KINGS!
Harrys… QUEENS!

The amount of times we have seen these hands against each other today is unbelievable!!

The board runs out 5–6–A–10–7.

With that Harry is eliminated as his queens are no good!

Rajinders takes the pot and now has 400,000!!!

Harris Heads Out – 27/07/2013 – 18:11

On a flop of 10–6–3, Sid Harris & Pier Whyman get involved in a raising war which results in both players being all in!!

Piers has the best of it tabling pocket Kings! Sid is drawing to just two outs as he tables Jacks.

The turn is a KING giving Piers a set. The river card an Ace.

Sid Harris (below) heads out of the tournament.

sid

Piers Whyman is now up to around 200,000.

Spinks Eliminated – 27/07/2013 – 17:55

I get to the table just as Jon Spinks is leaving, I look at the board to see him all in the J-7 against the 10-10 of David Lloyd.

It looks like David opened from the cut off and Jon shoved from the big blind for about 40,000.

He didn’t get there and has been eliminated.

David Lloyd (below) now has around 130,000.

Tightened Up! – 27/07/2013 – 17:45

Well after being stood in the middle of three tables for the last 15 minutes, everyone seems to have tightened up in the main event. We are currently 18 players off the money. At the moment we are only player 7 and 8 handed but there is still to action to speak of.

.

.

More Exits – 27/07/2013 – 17:33

Williams Stacking! – 27/07/2013 – 17:25

James Williams and Phil Pattenden-Oxenham get in a raising war which results in Phil four betting all in and James snap calling…

Phil tables Queens which are no good against the Kings of James.

Neither player improves as the board runs out 7–2–10–6–J.

Phil who started the day as second shortest stack heads out of the tournament. While James Williams who already has a second place finish in a GukPT Main Event is now up to 145,000!!

.

.

Not Wattos Day – 27/07/2013 – 17:20

Steve Watts calls James Williams 35k all in and is in great shape with Kings vs the 7-7 of James.

That is until the board runs out 10–7–8–Q–Q. Full house for James who doubles up to 73,000.

Then about 6 hands later. Watto finds A-Q which is good enough to get his 20 big blinds in vs Marcin Milde who founds ACES!!

Depsite flopping a Queen The Watto couldn’t get there and he heads out!!

IMG_7103

Marcin Milde on the other hand now has around 160,000!!

Taylor Eliminated – 27/07/2013 – 17:10

Scott Edwards limps, Rajinder Kumar also limps.. Lee Taylor then moves all in for 45,000. Scott goes into the tank for a good 2 minutes, but eventually makes the fold. Rajinder quickly calls and the cards are tabled…

Rajinders has the ACES and is in great shape against the A-8 of Lee.

The board runs out 9–6–Q–K–10.

Aces hold and Rajinder is now up to just short of 200,000!

Local on the GukPT circuit Lee Taylor heads out.

Will is in terrible shape tabling J-8 against the A-J of Wei.

The flop comes Q–2–J.

The turn comes a Ten, giving Will a gut shot.

The river card is another queen pairing the board.

Wei takes the pot and is now up to 55,000.

Lim Heads Out – 26/07/2013 – 22:40

Lim Cheung is short stacked with just 16,000 and moves all in in early position, he is called by Daniel Ezquerro.

Lim doesn’t like it as he tables A-6 and is up against the pocket Kings of Daniel.

The board runs out 10–2–9–2–8.

Kings hold for Daniel who is now up to 40,000. Lim heads out with only 15 minutes of play left to go today.

Watto Does it again. – 26/07/13 – 22:33

Steve Watts and Dave McChonachie get it all in the middle after a raising war. Dave only has 13k and is in trouble when he flips A-J to Watto’s A-K. No help means we lose another in the final level of the day.

Martin flips A-5. The board runs out K-Q-7-K-A to send Martin (Below), for the second time on to the rail, this time for good.
Seth has around 50k and is in decent shape.

A picture of Rajinder below is from about 20 minutes ago, before his stack erupted!

No Flair for Blair – 26/07/13 – 21:21

Blair Hampton has his lat 10k over the line as he 3 bets and gets called by Amanda Wixon. Standard race as Amanda shows Kc-Qs against the ducks of Blair.

No paint to be seen, but 4 to the flush means Wixon hits the 3rd nuts and Blair Hampton heads out. Amanda moves up to 40k, which is just above average stack.

198

A massive turnout in Brighton creating a prizepool of £99,000!! It’s a little disappointing not to get to £100,000, but again it’s an improvement so well done to everyone involved!!

Milde Gets Sapiano – 26/07/2013 – 18:35

On a flop of 10–5–10 with about 2000 in the middle Albert Sapiano bets 2500 and is called by the only other player in the hand Marcin Milde.

The turn card comes another five.

Albert opts to check this time, Marcin fires out a bet of 2750, Albert raises to 12,000, after checking Alberts stack Marcin moves all in!! Albert says “Okay, you got me” and makes the call putting himself at risk.

Marcin tables J-10 for a full house which is ahead of the A-5 of Albert.

The river comes a 6.

Marcin takes the pot and now has close to 60,000. Albert heads to the cash desk to re-enter.

.

.

Hitchens Doubles – 26/07/13 – 18:30

As we get closer to the cut off point for re-entering, it must be in Blair Hampton’s mind.

Mark Hitchens 3 bet shoves his relative short stack of 8050 over the line after Blair had raised (UTG) with Q-K. Hampton makes the pretty light call knowing Mark must have a decent hand. He then turns over pocket 10’s.

No danger or sweats for Mark as he doubles. Blair is in shove/re-entry mode now.

Fun With Hardy – 26/07/2013 – 18:10

It’s all fun and games though and I think you should always be enjoying yourself while you are at the poker table. Even if it is a £500 Main Event with a prizepool over £92,000!!!

Reading Champ Sent Crashing Out – 26/07/13 – 18:05

Portsmouth Champ Nicholas Humphris (Below)has just been eliminated.. Getting his final 8k in the middle after flopping a flush with 6-9(spades).

Lim Cheung turns a bigger flush when the 4th spade hits the deck. Cheung holding AhKs then calls Nick’s shove and that was that for our Reading Champ.

Holmes Eliminates Maker – 17:50

I hear the cry of all in and call on table 5 and rush over to see Bhaminder Maker & Martin Holmes all in!! The flop reads K–8–10.

Martin has the best of it with 10-10 for middle set against the K-8 of Bhaminder.

The turn card is an Ace. The river card a 6.

With that Martin Holmes is now up to 40,000, while Bhaminder is off to re-enter.

The Hardy Boyz – 26/07/13 – 15:26

Dan and Tony Hardy have made their way to Brighton for the GukPT.

I see Dan first as he gets here just before the break. “Is your dad playing”? I asked. Yeah says Dan, but he’s coming in his own car as he might just get here for the dinner break! “He drives like me granddad” he says. Everyday is like a Sunday when he gets behind the wheel! Then he complains I drive like Schumaker! So to avoid arguments we go in separate cars.

Both are playing now as Tony arrives. No trouble for either in the early stages for them as both sit with starting stack.

Lost One! – 26/07/13 – 12:40

Steve “Watto” Watts, who had a fantastic run in the WSOP main event, finishing 59th out of near 6400 has turned up for day 1b here in Brighton. He has clear intentions of doing well in the event as he takes out Sunghee Yun during the first level. We didn’t catch the action but on the river all the money was in the middle and top 2 pair for Sunghee was no match for Watto’s flopped flush.

Already up to 40k, Steve Watts is the early chip leader.

Day 1b – 26/07/2013 – 11:40

Welcome back to the G Casino here in  Brighton for Day 1b of the GukPT Main Event. We had 67 entries yesterday and with today always being busier, we will be looking to double that!! Which I think is more than possible. The tournament is a £500 NLHE with 1 optional re-entry with a GTD prizepool of £50,000!!

So far we have 42 entries today, which already tips us over the £50k GTD.

It should be a fantastic days poker today which will begin at noon.

Day 1a is Done 25/07/2013 – 22:45

Well after nine levels of play day 1a of the main event here in Brighton is over. We had 67 entries so far today, which is a good turnout considering we only started the day with 20 players. A slow increase of players throughout the day, including quite a few re-entries took us to the very healthy number.

Around 25 players have made it through and will be coming back on saturday. They are led by Babbis Lappas who has a huge stack of over 150,000! Other GukPT regulars who have made it through are Jon Spinks, Will Kassouf, David Barnes and others.

Full chip count will be up ASAP.

We will be back tomorrow for another noon start where we are expecting over 100 players.  We’ll see you then.

.

.

Last Five Hands – 25/07/2013 – 22:30

The clock has been paused with 10 minutes left to play. A 5 has been drawn, so the players will play 5 more hands before bagging up for the night.

.

.

Toffel Doesn’t Flip Well – 25/07/13 – 22:25

Danny Toffel who used 2 bullets today has just been eliminated. All in with pocket 7’s he sees Babbis (Below) flipping over A-K. A king on the turn means Danny leaves us just as the clock is about to be paused for the end of the day.

Sick River For Bandyle – 25/07/2013 – 22:20

Tina Bandyle opens on the button and is called by Richard Lazarus & Regis Burlot in the blinds.

The flop comes 5–9–2, with two diamonds.

Richard leads out for 1700, Regis calls, Tina then moves all in for 22,000. Richard quickly folds.

Regis goes into the tank, thinking of what to do for a good 2 minutes before making the call…

Tina tables K-9 which is ahead of the 9-4 of Regis, Tina asks the dealer for no fours….

The turn card comes a Jack.

The river card is a FOUR!!!

Sick for Tina as she heads out!!

Regis is now up to around 100,000.

.

.

Lloyd Doubles – 25/07/13 – 22:08

David Lloyd has his last 17k over the line as we get to the table. the flop showing 3-J-6. Dinatre Araujodesousa tank calls with A-K. David turns over pocket 4’s. A blank 7 on the turn, followed by another brick 9 means David has a healthy looking 40k. Dinatre who has had a good day is still riding high on 65k.

.

.

The Last Level – 25/07/2013 – 22

This is the last level of play for today before the players bag and tag. We have 30 players remaining from the 67 that started.

How many are we going to finish the day with??

Babbis Lappas has led the field since level 5 and looks like the man who if going to finish on top.

There is 30 minutes of play left before we stop for the night and the players return on Saturday for Day 2.

.

.

Duel Exit – 25/07/13 – 21:50

It isn’t very often we see two WSOP Bracelet winners playing the GukPT. So I suppose it’s even more surprising they both exit on different tables at the same time! Craig we know was short after losing a flip, he went out 2 hands later. James Dempsey then gets eliminated on the action table as he gets knocked out by James Williams. The guys have the chance of playing day 1b, Whether they take up that option, well we will just have to wait and see…

.

.

McCorkell Crippled – 25/07/13 – 21:45

Craig McCorkell on the big blind 3 bet jams Steven Bean who had raised on the button. Steve calls after tanking for a short time. He flips A-3, Craig has K-10. An ace on the flop leaves Craig with just 1,700.  Steve moves up to 35k.

.

.

Top Chip Counts – 25/07/2013 – 21:40

Babbis Lappas 120000
Tim Maxwell 95000
James Williams 90000
Regis Burlot 90000
Darte 65000
Jon Spinks 60000
Robert Glenn 50000
Otto Richard 50000

.

.

Off We Go – 25/07/13 – 21:37

Final level of the day is upon us.. Top chip counts to follow..

Blinds 400/800 with a 100 ante.

.

.

Break Time – 25/07/2013 – 21:20

The players are now on their last 15 minute break of the day before beginning level 9.

.

.

Quiet Level – 25/07/13 – 21:15

This has been a quiet level as we head towards the final break of the day. We will get The top chip counts  from each table, but as it stands, 35 players are left in with the average standing at 38,000.

.

.

Poulengeris Eliminated! – 25/07/2013 – 21:05

I get to the table as Antonis Poulengeris is all in and has been called by Tim Maxwell. The board reads 8–A–J–6–7.

Antonis has 6-8 for two pair but is beat by the 10-9 of Tim who has rivered the straight!!

Antonis isn’t happy at all but will have to stay at the table for atleast one more hand as he has 1000 left.

Tim is now close to the chip lead with around 100,000.

.

.

Otto Flips Good… Again! – 25/07/2013 – 20:55

Stephen Bean opens the action limping in mid position, directly to his left Dinarte Araujodesousa makes it 2100 to play. Craig McCorkell enters the pot, three betting to 5500.

Otto Richard on the button then cold four bets all in for around 23,000…

The other players get out of the way and Craig quickly makes the call.

Otto tables pocket threes which is ahead of the A-K from Craig.

The board runs out 10–8–8–7–4.

Threes hold for Otto who again doubles to 50,000. The players on the table then tell him not to bluff them off this time.

.

.

Action table – 25/07/13 – 20:40

Well if there is a table you would love on the live stream at the moment, it would be the table that has, James Williams(70k), Babbas Lappas (130k), James Dempsey 40k and Stephen Eames 50k. Action during every hand. The last hand being a crucial one for bracelet winner Dempsey, who moved 16k over the line, just leaving around 600 behind it. Michael Iziguzo tanking and eventually putting the clock on himself! With 8 seconds left he folds, saying he was massive on the turn!

Great viewing during level 8.

More Chip Counts – 25/07/2013 – 20:27

Some more chip counts from around the tables..

Mohammed Hussain – 35,000
Alan Dean – 17,000
Tim Maxwell – 50,000
Craig McCorkell – 32,000
Jordan Daniels – 75,000

.

.

Level 8 – 25/07/2013 – 20:20

The blinds are now 300/600 with a 75 ante as we begin level 8.

We have 36 players remaining on four tables.

.

.

Otto Doubles – 25/07/2013 – 20:10

Dinarte Araujodesousa makes it 900 to play, Craig McCorkell calls. Otto Richard then three bets to 2600 on the button, the action then comes back to Dinarte who makes it 5200, Craig quickly folds. Otto needs little thinking time before moving all in and Dinarte makes the call.

It’s a classic coinflip as Dinarte tables K-Q vs the pocket nines of Otto.

The board runs out 10–4–10–9–3.

A full house for Otto who doubles to 48,000. Dinarte drops to 50,000, which is still more than the 37k average.

.

.

Chip champ – 25/07/13 – 20:15

Babbas Lappas is the current chip leader after taking out Richard Turner. we didn’t see the size of the pot and don’t know if it had a massive bearing on his stack, but Lappas has 120k and streets ahead of the chasing pack.

.

Total Numbers – 25/07/2013 – 19:48

The total entries for today is…

67

That is a great turnout considering we only started today with 20 players. We should be able to double that tomorrow and maybe go for the £500 main event record which is 172 and was set in Walsall last leg.

When You’ve Got It! – 25/07/13 – 19:38

Well what can you say when local man and previously The Best dressed man on the GukPT circuit walks through the door? Well when you look like Paul Parker does, everyone takes note. It’s like washing day at the Parker household and we’ll just grab anything we can!  But seriously, It’s great to see the man that holds the title as he doesn’t travel with the tour like he used to.

When coming down we were wondering if we would see some old faces, well this is one that instantly puts a smile on your face. after all Paul said “It is summer and you do have to make an effort”!!

Break time for the players now as they take 15 minutes.

.

.

Lappas Leads the Way 25/07/2013 – 18:57

It’s easy to see where Fraser Beach’s chips have gone as Charalampos Lappas sits with a stack close to the 100k mark!! I’ve been told they got it all on the river with the board reading 7–2–2–5–7. Fraser holding pocket Queens and Lappas having the best of it holding pocket queens.

He leads the way with his huge stack. Which is over three times the 31k average.

.

.

Eames Gleams – 25/07/13 – 18:48

Differing fortunes for two of the players that have had to re-enter. Danny Toffel is stuttering on his starting stack after having to re-enter, but Stephen Eames has just taken out Lynne Beaumont. Lynne goes a long to play the Omaha side event, whilst Stephen stacks up 60k and is one of the chip leaders coming to the end of level 6.

The players still have another 30 minutes of play plus the 15 minute break to enter.

.

.

Early Pace Setter Departs – 25/07/13 – 18:30

Fraser Beach(Below) has just re-entered during level 6. One of the early pace setters with 50k during level 2 dusted them off during this level. To be fair, we didn’t see his exit as he moved to an outer table but has now bought back in.

Uneventful Start – 25/07/2013 – 18:15

We have had a very uneventful start to level 6 with no eliminations just yet. This is the last level that players can re-enter, so I expect there to be a bit of gambling later on as the short stacks try to get a stack or re-enter.

James Dempsey is still the chip leader with 60,000.

.

.

Level 6 – 25/07/2013 – 18:04

The blinds increase as we begin level 6. They are now 150/300 with a 25 ante.

46 players remaining from the 65 entries.

All Shook Up was his last words to us, as he heads to the desk to give it another go! Yes Bruce twice you’ve had to buy in!!

More Exits – 25/07/13 – 17:30

Pia Jeppesen and Sadan Turker (Who finished 334th in the WSOP main Event this year) have both been eliminated during level 5. With, as we have reported Stephen Eames departing, James “Flushy” Dempsey takes over the chip lead with 60k.

.

.

Dropping Thick & Fast – 25/07/2013 – 17:25

We lose four more players in the first 20 minutes of play after the dinner break as Marcin Milde, Hamish Mojaria, Karim Salama & Stephen Eames.

We are now down to 45 players from the 60 entries we have had here today.

.

.

Just Quads! – 25/07/13 – 17:17

Glen Martin has seen his stack dwindle to 3500, he gets the remains in against Lynne Beaumont and we are off to the races. 6’s for Lynne whilst Glens flips A-Q.

The boards of Q-3-Q-8-Q gives Glen a little bit of overkill sa he gets that vital double up. Even though he is still well under starting stack, he has 8k, which is certainly better than having to re-enter at this stage.

They are now 100/200.

 Pizzo Eliminated Again – 25/07/2013 – 15:15

James Williams makes it 400 to play in mid position, he is called in two spots before Romano Pizzo moves all in for 9500. James makes the call and the other players get out of their way.

Romano is in terrible shape tabling pocket sevens against the pocket Jacks of James.

The board runs out 9–8–K–K–K.

Jacks hold for James who takes the pot, he now has 50,000.

Romano heads out for the second time.

.

.

Just Not Jordans Day – 25/07/2013 – 15:05

Terry Jordan has been eliminated for the second time today, mid way through level three. On a flop of K–4–6, he shoved for 3500 and was called by James Williams.

Terry was in trouble holding 7-4 for bottom pair against the pocket Jacks on James.

The turn card come a 10. The river a Jack.

Terry heads out of the tournament, but can still come back tomorrow for another two bullets if he wishes.

James Williams now has 45,000.

Dempsey Doubles – 25/07/13 – 14:50

Not having the best start to day 1a, James Dempsey doubles up through the already re-entered Terry Jordan.

On a board of 5-7-9-6 the raising war begins and all the money ends up in the middle with Terry Jordan saying “I have to call”. James flips 9’s for top set. Jordan turns over pocket 10’s. An ace on the river means Dempsey moves well over starting stack to 37k, Terry is down to 12k

The Champ Is here! – 25/07/2013 – 13:22

James ‘Flushy’ Dempsey has just entered the casino and bought into the tournament. James has 2/3 of the triple crown. Holding a WSOP Bracelet which he won in 2010 and a WPT title winning the five diamond class for over $800,000!! He has just over $1.9million in tournament earnings.

He has joined the field on table three. Which also includes chip leader James Williams and James Browning, both to his left. It should make for a fun table.

Lost One!! – 25/07/2013 – 12:55

Well in the first level we have lost a player. That player being Rahim Tadjsaadat. On a flop of K–5–6, Rahim and James Williams got into a raising war which resulted in James moving all in and Rahim making the call.

James tabled pocket Kings for top set, which was good against the 5-6 of Rahim for bottom two pair.

The turn card came a King giving James quads and the pot. He now has a stack of 40,000 while Rahim heads out!!

The very next hand James finds ACES!! But gets a walk.
