GUKPT returns to record breaking Leeds

Grosvenor Casinos’ flagship poker tour, the GUKPT, has landed in Leeds for the last £100,000 Guaranteed Main Event of the season. Grosvenor Casino Westgate is bracing itself for a belter after last year’s Main Event broke the record for the largest £100,000 Leg in the GUKPT’s 10 year history.

Local favourite Leung Ho Cheung brushed his 307 competitors aside and put his 35-years of poker playing experience to good use by bagging himself the trophy and a 1st prize of just shy of £38,000. It was a win made even sweeter by the fact he had qualified for the event for a fraction of the cost in one of the many satellites on offer.

GUKPT Leeds 2018 officially kicked off last night with Day 1A of the £10,000 GUKPT Mini Main. There is still time to take part in this popular event with Day 1B taking place tonight at 5pm. This event is swiftly followed by the £50 Turbo, 50/50 Bounty and the £100 Turbo before making way for the main attraction, the £100,000 GUKPT Main Event (£500+60 buy-in) this Thursday. There are still plenty of opportunities for players to win their seat, just like Leung, for much less than the £560 price tag via the satellites running on and at Grosvenor Casino Westgate, Leeds.
