GUKPT rolls on to Manchester, after record breaking London leg

The GUKPT returns this weekend for the second leg in its 13th season and it takes place in the vibrant city of Manchester.Grosvenor Casino Bury New Road, Manchester has been an ever present on the GUKPT tour and it plays host again to the £200,000 Guaranteed GUKPT Main Event. After record breaking numbers during the GUKPT London Leg last month we expect a big turnout.
GUKPT Manchester has been a springboard over the years for many champions who have gone on to enjoy great poker success. It has also proved a popular poker stop for some of the countries most established players. Previous winners include Andy Hills, Ali Mallu, Sunny Chattha, Simon Moorman (father to UK Poker Superstar, Chris Moorman) and the first ever GUKPT Manchester winner, the late Dave Colclough.

Last year’s winner beat a field of 241 runners which included big names such as Katie Swift, Steve Warburton & Chris Howden (all of whom made the money). Despite taking home £68,930 after a deal was struck, the new champion decided to shun the limelight and remained anonymous.
This year the GUKPT Manchester leg kicks off this Sunday with the £20,000 GUKPT Mini Main, which now features an all new online Day 1 taking place online on Grosvenor Poker. The £200,000 Guaranteed GUKPT Main Event officially kicks off with Day1A on Thursday 6th March, giving players plenty of opportunities to still win their £1,000+110 seat.
