The National league

Terms and Conditions

  1. The National League will apply in all Grosvenor casino’s where “Grosvenor presents” events are held.
  2. The National League 2020 will start on Monday 18th November 2019 at 6pm and finish on Monday 23rd Nov 2020.
  3. Final league standings will be announced by midday on Monday 4th January 2021.
  4. The national league will apply to all “Grosvenor presents events” as follows;
    1. GUKPT
    1. 25/25
    1. Deep stack
    1. Goliath 
    1. Seasonal specials
  5. GPE restricted events will not have any deductions made and will not have any league points awarded (Women’s, Seniors ETC).
  6. Other “special” events may be added and eligible for league points throughout the year, that do not fall under the umbrella of the above-named events, this includes online as well as live events.
  7. Some special events may award points but not have any deductions from the prize pools.
  8. All events are subject to availability and may be cancelled or moved this includes online as well as live events.
  9. Two percent of the money collected in eligible events will form the prize for the national league.
  10. All funds collected will be returned to the players as prizes, there will not be an admin charge applied to this promotion.
  11. The two percent will only be taken from the stakes after any overlay, if there is one, has been calculated.
  12. Players will be awarded points according to a set criterion based on
    1. The cost of entry.
    1. The size of the field.
    1. The Individual finishing positions.
  1. The following table gives examples of how the points are calculated;

  1. Only one entry will be counted per event and that will be the players last entry, re-entries on subsequent flights will not count.
  2. All Grosvenor presents live satellites for GUKPT, 25/25, 25/50, Deepstacks and Seasonal specials plus any special events that may be added throughout the year, will qualify for league points, 1 point per player per event will be awarded towards the National league. Any re-entries will not count, maximum points awarded for a satellite will be 1 point.
  3. On multi flight competitions players finishing position will be determined by;
    1. The level they went out.
    1. The elimination time stamp of that player on card room magic.
    1. This is regardless of which flight they play.
    1. Players playing an online flight for Deepstacks and seasonal specials, that do not qualify for a live day two, will automatically receive 4 league points as well as any points they may receive if they play live.
  4. The league table will be available weekly in all Grosvenor poker rooms, online and on the Poker live APP. (note players must sign into the app to see their league points).
  5. The top scoring 77 players will be eligible to win the prizes. (see examples of prizes at appendix A).
  6. The player with the most points will win the Title of “Grosvenor player of the year” a diamond package plus a Grosvenor presents package and trophy.
  7. Players in positions 2-5 with the most points will also win a diamond package and a Grosvenor presents package (These players will not be eligible to take part in the playoff).
  8. Players in positions 6-20 with the most points will automatically receive a Grosvenor presents package and will be eligible to play in the play-off for a platinum package.
  9. After the top five have been awarded their prizes the remaining 72 players (8 tables of 9) will play off for the remaining Platinum packages.
  10. The Platinum packages are created from the funds collected throughout the promotion and the number of packages awarded will be determined by the funds collected.
  11. Where there are not enough funds collected to create the full number of packages, the number of packages will be reduced accordingly.
  12. Where extra funds are collected over and above that required to create the main prizes the extra funds will be used to create extra platinum packages.
  13. All players attending the Grand Final playoff will receive £300 in cash Provided they attend and play at least one hand in the playoff personally.
  14. All players winning packages will be expected to be advocates for Grosvenor casinos and wear any clothing or badges that may be provided whilst playing poker in Grosvenor casinos or elsewhere (subject to agreement from Grosvenor casinos).
  15. Any funds collected that do not create full packages will be used to Generate GUKPT main event poker vouchers, subject to 29 below.
  16. Any excess funds collected that do not make up an extra package (less than £560) will rollover into the next years prize fund.
  17. The national league playoff will take place at the Grosvenor Victoria casino on Saturday 23rd January 2021 (Subject to change).
  18. The playoff will be for an estimated ten platinum packages dependent on the prize pool collected.
  19. In the event of a tie for any of the top prizes (before the play off) this will be decided by;
    1. Number of top three appearances.
    1. Number of final table appearances.
    1. If there is still a tie after this the prizes will be equally shared and the title of player of the year will be applied to all players that have tied.
  20. Players finishing 1st – 5th may also receive the Grosvenor presents package subject to the total money collected during the promotion.
  21. Players finishing in positions six to twenty may receive a Grosvenor presents package, as well as qualifying for the playoff with a chance to win one of the platinum packages subject to total money collected during the promotion.
  22. The winning of a prize in this league will signify that the player concerned has given their permission for Grosvenor casinos to use their name and image for promotional purposes.
  23. For National league points to be awarded to any player, they must have attended and played in the event in person that they have entered.
  24. Anyone participating in the league must adhere to the rules and spirit of the promotion. Anyone breaking the rules or deemed to have breached the spirit of the rules, may be subject to penalties ranging from a reduction in points up to exclusion from Grosvenor casinos.
  25. All players taking part in this promotion must be eligible to play in Grosvenor casinos both live and on line, players that may have qualified for a prize or to take part in the playoff will not be entitled to any prize if they subsequently cease to be eligible to take part and their prize either awarded to another player or rolled into the following years league.
  26. Players sponsored by Grosvenor casinos are not eligible to take part in this promotion, but they will still be awarded points according their finishing position, players who finish behind a sponsored player will not receive the sponsored players points.
  27. Employees of Grosvenor casinos and their direct family members are not entitled to take part in this promotion as per company policy.
  28. Packages are strictly non-transferable and must be used in the same calendar year they are awarded, any packages left over after this time will expire and any funds not used will be carried over to the following years national league subject to the promotion continuing into the following year.
  29. Should it not be possible to continue with the promotion for any reason, Grosvenor casinos will return the funds to players by creating a different promotion.
  30. Grosvenor Casinos Limited reserves the right to discontinue or change this competition at any time and for any reason, without notice.
  31. This competition is also subject to Grosvenor Casino Limited’s General Terms and Conditions.
  32. Grosvenor Casinos Limited is the sole arbiter of this competition and its decision is final and binding.  No correspondence will be entered into.

Appendix A

Examples of prize packages available.

  1. A Diamond package consists of;
    1. l seat.
    1. A £2,000 cash bonus
    1. A £2,000 accommodation allowance managed by Main event travel (no cash alternative).
  2. A Platinum package consists of;
    1. 1 x £125 Goliath Main event seat.
    1. 1 x £1,650 Main event seats.
    1. 4 x £1,110 Main event seats. 
    1. 3 x £560 Main event seats.
    1. 1 x £2,650 Grand Final main event seat.
    1. A Grosvenor casino Merchandise and bag.
  3. A Grosvenor presents package consists of;
    1. 2 x £225, 25/25 seats.
    1. 2 x £130, Deepstack seats.
    1. 2 x £115 Seasonal special seats.

Note:

  • All packages are subject to the funds collected the number of packages therefore cannot be guaranteed.
  • All packages will include registration fees at the prevailing rate.
